Aretha Franklin In Concert at Hoosier Park
Aretha Franklin, the undisputed queen of soul, will perform live at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino Saturday, Sept. 20. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance go on sale Thursday, July 10 at Shelby’s Gifts, located on the Terrace Level at Hoosier Park. 
Aretha Franklin will perform in “The Yard,” located outdoors between the casino and the racetrack at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino. Live Thoroughbred racing will move to an afternoon matinee program that day to accommodate the concert.
Tickets for Franklin’s show at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino will be offered on two levels. Prices are $55 for standard seats and $70 for Golden Circle seating. A 20% discount will be offered to all Club Centaur Rewards members. Membership into Club Centaur is free and can be obtained at one of the two locations for Club Centaur at both the main entrance to the casino and the main entrance to the racetrack on the Terrace Level.
Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. The native of Memphis, Tenn. has had more top 40 singles since 1961 than any other female vocalist. Some of her best known hits include “Respect,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” and “Freeway of Love.” Franklin has had 17 top-10 singles and has won 20 Grammy Awards making her the second most honored female singer in Grammy history.
