Hoosier Park Racing & Casino announced Thursday the addition of six-time Grammy winning group Earth, Wind, & Fire to its lineup of annual summer concerts, presented by Coors Light. In addition to Earth, Wind, & Fire, performers include Heart, Little Big Town, and the Doobie Brothers in a series of national headlining acts at Hoosier Park’s outdoor music center.
Earth, Wind, & Fire’s music spans multiple genres, from soul and blues, to funk and rock. Founded in Chicago in 1969, the band has earned 20 Grammy nominations, winning six Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards as a group. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have sold more than 90 million records during the last five decades, and are known for such hits as “That’s the Way of the World,” “Shining Star,” “Devotion,” “September,” and “Let’s Groove.”
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee sisters, Ann and Nancy Wilson, made history with their female-led rock band, Heart, over the last five decades with hits such as “Crazy on You,” “Alone,” “Barracuda,” and “What About Love.” The four-time Grammy nominated group’s discography has achieved multi-platinum status, selling more than 35 million records worldwide.
Little Big Town–consisting of Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook–first entered the music scene more than 14 years ago with hits such as “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” “Good As Gone” and “Little White Church.” The quartet’s fifth studio album, Tornado, recently received platinum certification and includes two-time platinum-selling #1 hit “Pontoon” and follow-up #1 single and title-track “Tornado.” The Nashville-based group has charted 14 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list and has won three CMA and ACM awards. In 2013, the group took home their first Grammy award for “Pontoon” in the Best Country Group/Duo Performance category.
The four-time Grammy-winning Doobie Brothers embody a sound that has become part of America’s soundtrack and a fixture on radio from Top 40 to classic rock. Since 1972, the Doobie Brothers have amassed three multi-platinum, seven platinum, and fourteen Gold albums. In total, their guitar-driven style has sold more than 30 million albums. The No. 1 singles “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes” lead a catalog of hits that include five Top 10 singles and 16 Top 40 hits such as “Jesus Is Just All Right,” “Rockin’ Down the Highway,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “China Grove,”  “Takin’ it to the Streets,” and “You Belong to Me.”
