A well-known stand-up and physical prop comic, Gallagher has been entertaining audiences since the early 1980s. He has performed 16 specials on Showtime, which have been also shown on Comedy Central. Gallagher is best known for his “Sledge-O-Matic” act, where he uses a wooden mallet to smash a variety of objects on stage. All guests sitting near the stage are usually equipped with plastic sheets, raincoats and umbrellas to protect themselves from the flying objects near the stage.

In addition to the “Sledge-O-Matic” routine, Gallagher incorporates other props into his act. He has a couch-shaped trampoline, adult-sized big wheel, and odd shapes of brightly colored hair, shoes, and clothing.

Tickets for the Gallagher performances are $25 plus tax. The first show will be held at 7 p.m. while the second show will begin at 10 p.m. Guests attending the 10 p.m. show must be 21 years of age or older. A 20 percent discount will be honored to all guests showing a Club Centaur Rewards card for both shows. Membership into Club Centaur is free and can be obtained by stopping by one of the Club Centaur Rewards Centers located at the main entrance to both the casino and the racing facility.

Other upcoming entertainment events scheduled at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino includes the Chippendales Thursday, Oct. 29 and Gary Puckett/Grass Roots Saturday, Nov. 14. The legendary Wayne Newton will close out the 2009 concert series with two shows slated for Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, Dec. 6.
