Elmore Named General Manager of Racing

Hoosier Park Racing & Casino announced today the appointment of Brian Elmore to the position of General Manager of Racing. Elmore, who will assume the new position beginning May 1, 2011, replaces Jeff Smith who will continue in his position as Managing Director of Racing for Hoosier Park’s parent company, Centaur LLC.

Brian_Elmore_web.jpgIn his previous position as Director of Racing Operations, Elmore was instrumental in positioning Hoosier Park as a premier horse racing destination and Indiana’s first fully integrated gaming and racing facility. Elmore brings with him more than thirty years of horse racing experience, of which fifteen were with Hoosier Park.

Prior to joining Hoosier Park and Centaur, Elmore served as General Manager of Ellis Park in Henderson, Kentucky and Bandera Downs in Bandera, Texas. Elmore has also served as a member of the Thoroughbred Racing Association and held multiple community board memberships throughout his career.
