  <p><img width="212" height="181" src="http://hoosierpark.com/assets/images/2012_TBred_Racing/Derby_logo_18th_K.jpg" alt="Derby_logo_18th_K" title="Derby_logo_18th_K" />Advanced wagering for the 18th installment of the grade II $500,000-added Indiana Derby at Hoosier Park Racing &amp; Casino will be available for the entire Indiana Derby Day program beginning Friday, Oct. 5 at 12 p.m. In its’ customary first Saturday in October slot, the Oct. 6th event has become a program that is not only well attended by racing fans in Indiana but a stop for some of the best horses in the country.<br /><br />The list of special wagers available to patrons includes an Indiana Oaks-Derby Double (Races 11 &amp; 12), and the Mari Hulman George, Indiana Oaks and Indiana Derby Pick 3 (Races 10-12). The afternoon will also feature an All-Stakes Pick 4, which includes the $100,000-added Michael G. Schaefer Memorial Mile (Race 9), the $100,000-added Mari Hulman George (Race 10), the $200,000 added Indiana Oaks (Race 11) and the $500,000 added Indiana Derby (Race 12). Hoosier Park will continue to offer 50 cent trifecta and 10 cent superfecta wagering along with 50 cent pick 3 and pick 4 wagers.<br /><br />In addition to the open events, several Indiana Stakes will compliment the stellar 12 race card that begins at 12:30 p.m. The $84,000 Hillsdale Stakes, the $84,000 City of Anderson, the $84,000 Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes, the $84,000 Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes “Filly Division”, the $84,000 Gus Grissom Stakes, and the $84,000 Richmond Stakes are all included in the day.<br /><br />The afternoon card of racing will also mark one of the richest days for Thoroughbred racing in the state of Indiana.
